You might have entered the date backwards thus making the day wrong. I did this at first with mine. After you enter the time, you enter the date. The first number you enter is the year, then you enter the month, then you enter the day. This will automatically set the right day. So, using today's date, your watch should display the date as 11 12-14, with "WE" for the day. 11 being the year, 12 being the month, and 14 being the day. Hope that helps.
