We've seen a lot of vendors discuss the importance of a beefy voltage regulation circuit. That's what I wanted to ask Intel about its seemingly less-complex six- and eight-phase VRMs. Intel's Brian Forbes explains why more phases aren't always better.

  • I don't necessarily think it's always like that, but Intel is claiming that its 6-8 phases can deliver power more evenly than some of the boards with more complex VRs.
