Nashville Scene Reporter Jonathan Meador arrested by Tennessee Highway Patrol

While covering the Oct. 28th THP crackdown of Occupy Nashville, I was arrested despite identifying myself as a member of the press.

I was very happy to see this dirt bag "reporter" get arrested. He likes to say bad thigns about talk radio (which I am a proud talk radio guy) and doesn't know a damn thing about the talk radio industry. I smile when I see this video.

This is a crock of shyte! There is no reason whatsoever why this should have occurred! Were you part of the group arrested that the judge refused to hold???? I love the look on the troopers face when the judge @ metro night court told the troopers they had no probable cause to hold any of the protesters and that the THP had violated their first amendment rights!!!

@hobo59 It's not speculation, cops do this all the time. There are a lot of policy loopholes they exploit to screw with people they don't like. The sherriff in my hometown is under FBI investigation for precisely this reason. You see, being arrested isn't a bad thing for protesters and the media. It only gives us a legal basis to fight free speech zones, permit requirements, and unlawful law enforcement policies in court.
