So, I came home on Friday afternoon, I didn't have a chance to catch the Yard Waste, so I went truck hunting, I meet up with a new truck doing trash I asked the guy, but he said not today, I caught up to the recycle but I didn't feel like recording him for his infamous truck, so I went to this neighborhood where my trash driver does this area in the late afternoon, caught him doing the last street on his route for the day.
Again he was driving this truck, because I found out that his old truck broke down and hes been using this truck since. Well I took some shots and he finished, I gave him a tip and we had a great conversation.
He said that hes been driving for this division for 32 years 33 in February, he started when the company was called something called Michakel or something, then came Trinity, Laidlaw, then Pacific Waste then Allied Waste, he said hes been doing his route for over 10 years, and other stuff. Then I asked him "What happened to your old truck"?
He said his old truck broke down, so they make him drive this truck, well at the same time they are getting brand new natural gas autocar/mcneilus trucks. He said they weren't going to fix his old truck, instead in two weeks hes going to get a new truck, and they are going to get rid of all the old trucks. I was dissapointed, because I knew about the the new trucks but I didn't know it was going to happen in 2 weeks, I'm not ready
Then I asked him how olds the truck, he said at least 20 years old. Enjoy while it lasts.
Dedicated to all those Pacific Waste lovers out there!

Hope you enjoy! comment ,suscbribe, enjoy!

  • dident they sell a lot of there trucks on Asset Auctions ? my dad almost bought one so me and him can start a metal recycling busniess

  • @AlliedWaste76 wow that sounds cool, yeah they sold some from of the residential one only about 5 but they really got rid of the commercial trucks. they probably didn't want to waste paint so they sold them and bought new ones with the AW blue painted on them already.

  • do they still have the Curtto can 1 the frist curtto can? and is any of them still the Pacific Waste blue color?

  • @AlliedWaste76 they have a couple (i mean like 4 left) and no they all are painted AW blue, for a long time. they were black when pacific was inchage. but painted blue when AW roled in . its mainly a curotto can 2 fleet and a slammin eagle fleet now.

  • did they convert any of the Pacifc Waste truck of just scraped them ?
