My father flew in the 716th squadran .His plane #62 "The Silver Babe" . He was a waist gunner. Anthony Iuso was his name. The Silver Babe was shot down December 11 1944 all baled out and were saved by partisans and returned back to the war. My father wasn't on board that day do to an ear infection as fate had it.

Bitt4 & Saverhistory - My Dad (John McCormick) was the Pilot of Plane #11 Born to Lose depicted at 8:22. He was in the 719th / 449th BG, a POW in Romania and is still alive. I can ask him if he knew your Dad. What was the name of his plane? Saverhistory -does the #11 plane appear in any of your Dad's personal photos????? I have my Dad's photo album and do not have ANY photos of Born to Lose.
