I forgot who won in 90. I was such a big fan of this show and recorded the semifinals and finals every year. Was the 1990 final between Debbie James and Bobbie Brown?? I didn't really care for that year. Bobbie was full of herself. She totally ignored Ed when he tried to console her during her loss. Debbie was nice but didn't think she was the most beautiful female I had seen. 1990 was a weak year for spokesmodels on Star Search.

@willmoney34...Yes, 1986 had the best 4 semifinalists. It was hard for me to decide who I wanted to win. They could have all easily won. The other seasons I had one favortie that I wanted to win. 1985 it was Michaela...although that season was pretty good too. 1987 my favorite was Theresa Ring and she won! 1988 my favorite was Sophia Bowen but Cynthia Gowe won..ugh....still upset she won. 1991 my fav Symba Smith won.....I forget which season Heather Middway and Lauren OBrien were from.

Huh, I wonder if that's the same person. Would be funny because Cheryl Burton is on tv everyday, lol! I'm pretty sure Nikki Richards and Cheryl Barnes are still singing. I'm actually sure that Nikki is. Cyndi James Reese was one of my favorites. I read that she was married to Louis Gossett Jr. for a while.

@willmoney34 If I remember correctly, yes.....I wonder what Cheryl Barnes and NIkki Richards are doing now......they were two of the female vocalist winners.....

Another heads up....do you remember Cyndi James Reese....a few years before appearing on Star Search she starred in a supposed to be real life drama name Reaching For The Stars...it was about a group of female singers and after the show went off, they went on the Johnny Carson show.....

I'm trying to get Star Search on DVD. I need your help guys in getting it on dvd. I started a thread here at Shout Factory. If there is interest...who knows it might come out. @willmoney34 I wish I could see the tape of the 1985 semifinals between Michaela and Anna Lee. Amy Stock vs Barbara Baan. It was a great season too. I liked Anna Lee but my favorite was Michaela followed by Barbara and Anna Lee. I actually could have seen any one of them winning. I still thought Michaela should have one. Some say the reason Barbara Baan won was because she was American. Barbara is a beautiful lady but I still thought Michaela was just that much better.

@Mist20 1985 was a great season too! Semis Michaela vs Anna Lee, Amy Stock vs. Barbara Baan. As disappointed as many were about Michaela losing the finals I felt the same about Anna Lee losing in the semis. Anna was my favorite that season. However, I did think Michaela should have won in the finals. Very strong groupl of semi finalists though. Also, liked Brenda Cooper, Leah Jensen and Robin Harmon that season.
