I'm Cuban and love this tradition we do it every year .. It's a lot of fun, we embrace it as if we were part of Ireland that day

God bless Cuba and Ireland!

As it has been said, the heart of the matter is ALEXANDER O'REILLY, an Irishman in the service of the Spanish Crown, who was Governor of Cuba in the XVIII century.
Besides, don't forget the "GALICIAN CONNECTION". In Cuba, there are many Galician inmigrants and a lot of Cubans are of Galician descent. Galicia (in Northern Spain) has an important Celtic cultural heritage.

Since I am a Born Again Pagan Celt and a Spiritual Atheist, I have academically and spiritually divorced myself from the Foreign Middle Eastern Aramaic Religion called Christianity because it has lost its credibility with me. Culturally and Academically I have chosen to explore (My Ancestor’s Indo European Celtic Druid Roots) which has been suppress by the first wave of Middle Eastern Extremists called Christianity.

I am a Proud Native Pagan Celt; I wish I could read the 180 Druid books before they were burned by Patrick's New Middle Eastern Religions Cult. If you are a Proud Born Again Pagan Celt wear all GREEN! CELTIC PAGAN PRIDE DAY starts on March 17th and ends of March 18th
