  • if you want cheap unreliable stuff go to harbor freight

  • @geminirat60 It's a Chinese wonderland! hahahaha

  • when u chrage them take the vents off the top of the battery and go back to harbor fright and get a charge controller so you dont screw up your batterys i got the same set up and i screwed a battery cause i dident have a charge controller cause the charge controller wont let it over charge and it wont let the battery drain at night

  • @wifebeater756 I don't know about Harbor's supply of charge controllers. The one that came with the next set of panels I bought allows the charge to trickle off at night.

  • We who are into fee energy , open source natural power .. DO NOT back GREEN ..

green = works for oil companies and liberal source suppression .. like Green peace and the environmentalist,. who are cola berating globalists.

  • @fatmanplaying yes rates here in Chicago are among the highest in the country so that is a major factor. I installed the next step up panels that Harbor carries and saved a little more by just running all those devices off a battery which is actually just about even to that 50 dollars now because they raised the rates again. That original $50 per month only lasted a couple of months, then they hit me with a rate increase. That is summer months when I'm not using the electric to heat the place.

  • I don't believe you guys are completely correct, True the leds and led clocks use very little energy but there is a pack inside the appliance that allows the monitor or tv stereo ect ect turn on faster and that does use extra power. I don't believe it saves him 50 bucks per month but I know my aunt and uncle do the same thing they go farther like put the microwave coffee pot and even go so far as to put lights on power strips then they just click the switch on the power strip they save $30

  • cool video i must try it

  • @Saiga76239mm you are right I misspoke there it is more like about five dollars per month, grid service in Chicago is the premium rate, the vital difference is you own the equipment to make your own power and do not rent it from a company

  • @Saiga76239mm Exactly. The only components that are running when those devices are plugged in but not powered on are the little LEDs that indicate they have power. LEDs draw minimal current, at most. They'd have to be running for 10 years before you'd draw $50 worth of power.
