Just on what you said about his use of the same villains (by the way Two Face is in Hush) I would have liked to see him use Firefly, Clayface and Black Mask at some point because I've only ever read a couple of decent stories with those two featured and I can't recall Loeb using them, he does seem to use everyone else though.

Fuck off (pardon my french) but Batman Hush was NOT awful! I agree with you on basically everything else you said but Hush was a damn good story arch in my opinion, yes I agree that it could have been a one shot but it wasn't awful. I loved The Long Halloween and Dark Victory but pretty much everything else Loeb has done is a little on the nose I agree.

@sethcopeland Your right I was exaggerating Hush is ok. It's by no means a good story. The only reason it wasn't completely forgotten is because it's absolutely beautiful. If not for the art everyone would see how poor it is.

A lot of the marvel colors books are good and all his Batman work is superb, so we have to give him credit there.

Also Smallville always blew and Heroes got old kinda quick

@Redeye1524 No. He wrote one amazing Batman story. Then he retold that story and called it a sequel. Then he made a mediocre story that's only remembered for it's amazing art.

I only read Hulk Gray which was garbage and I've heard nothing but bad things about Spider-man Blue.

Heroes got old quick BECAUSE of Jeph Loeb.

For me, Loeb is the M. Night Shamylan of comics. He starts out amazing, with both Batman: The Long Halloween and Superman For All Seasons, but then begins to suck, with crap like Superman/Batman, Catwoman: When in Rome, and especially f**king Ultimatum.

I agree Long Halloween is one of my favourite's,Hush was good too and the only other Loeb book I have read is Dark Victory,that was ok.

But Long Halloween was awesome and in my top ten Batman stories.

Yeah Lee Bermejo is great!

Joker awesome had a unique viewpoint to tell the story and I like Batman Noel too.The art is stunning throughout them books too.

Also read Joker by Brian Azzerello and Lee Bermejo if you haven't already, it ranks up there along side The Killing Joke as not only one of the best Joker stories but as one of the best comics period...the story is top notch and the art is fucking mind blowing!

The unique takes on characters like Joker, Harley Quinn, Two Face and Killer Croc made For an enjoyable experience, it's so good I didn't want to put it down.

Your right he is, I completely forgot lol, it's been awhile since I've read it I had a bit of a brain freeze when I left that comment. :P

What's your opinion on Batman: Heart of Hush? I thought it was fantastic, much better than Hush (which I agree was remembered mostly for the wonderful art).

I'm currently reading Batman: The Black Mirror which is so far EPIC!
