Elton John duets with himself on this demo version of the famous song "Don't Go Breaking My Heart". Recorded in 1976. It was this version Elton sent to Kiki Dee so she could learn and record her part on the record which became Elton John's very first #1 hit single in the UK.
Elton wrote the song with lyricist Bernie Taupin, but contrary to their usual writing technique, Elton composed the melody first, and hummed it over the phone to Taupin, who was vacationing in Barbados. Elton wrote the title, and Taupin came up with lyrics to fit. Songwriting credit was actually given to the fictitious names Ann Orson/Carte Blanche, aliases for Elton & Taupin (a wordplay on "horse and cart").

I love the way he used to be able to just float in and out of falsetto effortlessly! I can only think of one contemporary artist who can do that... George Michael. But there is definitely a break between his full voice and his falsetto. Elton had no break at all. His voice was also just as powerful in falsetto as it was in full voice. Amazing, and very hard to do. Listen to the studio version of "One More Arrow" for a perfect example.
