  • Just a thought, but you don't have to be a "professional" to detach a front wheel if it has a quick-release skewer. This guy's a chump, not a pro.

  • That is correct, but we actually know he is a professional, since we have other videos of him in the process of bicycle theft in other locations (but we don't have permission to publish them yet. Thank you for your comment.

  • Sorry, but i've never seen a bike locked through the front wheel in ten years of working on Connecticut Ave. Not very credible.

  • Thank you for your comment mistertx1, the suspect is now in custody at the DC Jail, so I believe the credibility of this video is no longer in dispute. The video is of a production quality, but that is just the type of cameras used at that store (they are expensive high definition cameras).

  • He makes a drug deal than steals a bike wow double banger

  • From MPD: The thief has been arrested!

  • @mistertx1 - What does "not very credible" mean? The video is fake? That's not really a thief? The owner of the bike is lying? WTF?!

  • I hope you catch this S.O.B.

  • This is why you should always, always lock through the frame and the back wheel. Whoever locked this bike is an amateur. It doesn't take long at all to remove the front wheel of a bike.

  • This kind of like leaving your keys in the ignition.
