I decided to give this one a try. This song was written and preformed by Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and was released in 1975 on the double album "Physical Graffiti". I am playing a Martin 000-15s acoustic guitar tuned to CACGCE, hope you enjoy it.(my dog's tail makes a slight appearance at the end, for anyone wondering what the strange white object trailing at the bottom is).

  • You're perfect for this song! Its not a fun song, but it is beautiful, dark and eternal. You don't use a twelve string like Page, but even so on your gorgeous Martin guitar you make a great cover!

  • @choppedthecherrytree thank you!

  • its beautiful guess im stupid but thank you they maybe too smart zepp about feeling good i enjoyed that

  • @icmanbearpig

    And everywhere like such as.

  • Hi, lovely playing. How long do yo think you need to be playing fingerpicking to have a go at this song? Ive been f/p for about 6 months, is it a difficult song to learn? Thanks.

  • @jenster505uk

Thank you. Difficulty is something that is completely subjective, so I can't really give a definitive answer. I figured out how to play this song in an afternoon, so for me, I would say that it's not that bad if you can get the picking pattern. Keep at it and things will eventually come together for you.

  • @MrPocketGroover That is precisely because they are two completely different songs- One is the up-tempo "stomp" that features the whole band, and the other version (which I am playing here) was a solo guitar piece. You can hear this one in "The Song Remains the Same" when the limo is driving through the NYC on the way to Madison Square Garden. Look it up- it's a great song

If you were to see me play soccer, you may have a different opinion.

  • @choppedthecherrytree Page didn't use a 12 string for this song.

  • nice job, gz!!

  • Great job with this! Fav!

  • props to your badass dog gettin a shout in

  • @choppedthecherrytree Who says it's not a fun song?? I have fun playing it! And what's this about the 12-string, I have never heard anyone including Jimmy Page play it on 12 strings?? That would be good to hear though!

  • You look just like derek trucks!

  • choppedthecherrytree, page didnt use a 12 string on this track just his usual gibson acoustic.it may sound 12 string because its altered tuning CACGCE and some ambiant delay (reverb).

  • @choppedthecherrytree Short on imagination? You have to be kidding or hearing impaired. I wont even waste my time saying more than that.
