It is unlikely that ths Video will mean much to you if you do not know the incredible story about this most famous of Vickers Aircraft.

A very condensed version is - that it was named in memory of a popular Journalist / Photographer, shortly after his death in an air accident. Soon after this, it was written off in an accident of its own. A team of enthusiast lead by Ray Piercey, raised funds to rescue and restore it (at Brooklands Museum).

This has now been done and on the fiftieth birthday of its first commercial flight, a group of friends visited Ray and his wife to celebrate.

Its first flight had been London to Barcelona and the Capt. on that first flight had been Ray Piercey. Ray is also the father of the person it was named after, his Son Stephen.

The full story Is at http://www.vsp.org.uk
