I would like to talk about the Texas Corridor and what the authorities are going to do about the "rewilding" of all rural areas - moving all rural people to cities? They are going to "wall off" small towns and virtually make ghost towns so we cannot access our land.

Anyone know what Ron Pauls policy on farm subsidies are?

The Edwards family is running the smartest and most optimistic political campaign America has ever seen. What other presidential campaign is talking about America's family farms and the importance of treating our land as a legacy rather than an asset? Vote for Edwards.

Elizabeth Edwards is as articulate and thoughtful as her husband. This shows yet another reason why John Edwards should be president. He pays attention to important issues and has good plans in areas, such as rural policy, I don't even hear the other candidates touching. His proposed restriction on farm subsidies is good, as was her discussion of how current policies benefit agribusiness over family farmers.

You know that the alien comment was brought up to make Dennis look stupid. It was part of corporate medias plan! They asked every other candidate real and important questions....why did they ask him that question! Because they want to fool you into thinking he cant run the country. The TRUTH is that Dennis Kucinich along with Mike Gravel would change this country and the WORLD! DONT BE FOOLED MY MSNBC AND CNN!
-
Mike Gravel is not at the debates because he hasn't even raised $1 Million. In fact, all Mike Gravel does is just yell at people during the debates. Kucinich should get to speak more though, but after his alien comments, he's done.

I respect you Elizabeth and you Husband John. I believe that your husband and you would make a great team. But, I think that your husband should take a stand for two great candidates ( DENNIS KUCINICH AND MIKE GRAVEl. They are his competition..true, but you should let Mike come to the debates and also give Dennis more time to speak.
Farming needs heavy gov. regulations for enviormental reasons. Agribuissiness contributes heavily to global warming, aside from putting small farmers out of buissness, and destroying the land.

A good issue being raised. The family farm is hurt by the subsidizing of industrial row crops, and the agro-businesses buy farms that cant compete. I lived in hog and corn country. I saw the damage done by chemical fertalizer, crop pesticide, monsanto GMO seed. I saw polluted streams, deforestation, depleted soil, animal waste. Most of the toxic corn is fed to cows and hogs. Agro-busines is destroying OUR land, small farmers find it harder to keep from selling the farm and moving to a suburb
