The Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) has pulled out of the government in Khartoum, endangering a peace deal bewteen South and North Sudan signed in 2005.

Al Jazeera's Mohamed Vall spoke to Pagan Amum, the SPLM's secretary general, who says the national congress is not implementing the peace deal.

  • Sudan future, the government in Sudan they think if they give southern Sudan it’s independence there problem is solved forever, they got it all wrong. What about Nuba Mountains and Darfur they will like to have their independences as well. Bing treated as second citizens in their own country from they Arab occupiers. And for so called southern Sudanese leaders if you want really independence for south Sudan, you have to watch out for the referendum / election raging 2011.
