LOL Yeah, I agree with you, that is one of my gripes also. I DJ mainly for FM radio, and I know for the LPFM/College stations I work for, there is a good chance you will get a few callers saying how they love what you are playing, and that is something that makes me feel good. I am exposing people to music they may not have heard before. I realize that it is different in a club setting though. You are dealing with live mass of people rather than that casual listener picking and choosing stations

most of people which go to clubs are not interested in music details,they know most popular on radio and tv stations,they listen to i call "melt promoted sh..t"I loive in UK but Im foreigner.I can say many of uk radio stations are crap(sorry but true)and then my point they listen to music given to them...maybe its about lezyness to go to shop and buy something interesting then "melt sh.."

I fully agree with you but there will always be people like that. Thats what i hate about new hiphop its all about who the flashyist artist is with the most money its never about the underground left wing artists wich is why it sucks to dj hip hop at a popular club you always get some c*nt coming up2 you and saying hes a huge hip hop fan and asking you to play the new solja boy song who has probly never hurd of the pharcyde or a tribe called quest FUCK YOU SOLJA BOY

this is part of the reason i want to e a DJ, i want to put somehting new out there, something different. and this may just be me but im tired of all the rap stuff thats out there today. i personally dont really consider it music. i dont mean to rag on the people who like it but it's just boring to me. but yea, i want people to listen to something new, know what i mean?

people who love music sit in their house and listen to 28938923892893 songs. they don't generally go to clubs. people who like clubs, getting wasted, and like listening to music on drugs go to clubs.

Ultimategoobah, that's quite the assumption to make of the types of people who go to clubs. I don't believe its nearly as narrow of an audience you make it out to be. I for one, fit into both categories, as I believe some others do as well.

Thank ya buddy! I shall do that. And also, you're right about Sean Paul. I remember playing that Temperature song back when it was called "Keeping you Warm" and the Ever Blazing track also. Good example!!
