Aluminum is stiffer than steel. The downside is that it is more expensive and it has a tendancy to crack whereas steel will normally bend or flex. Forged aluminum improves its durability, but that costs more too. Carbon fiber is extremely expensive and it has to be engineered more carefully. CF is also more rigid than is necessary and would cause the car to vibrate and be very uncomfortable.

the dbs has a bonded aluminum body. Aluminum is very stiff compared to most other metals but is still tougher the carbon fiber which although incredibly stiff is brittle compared to metals. Also carbon fiber cost alot mare.

Yeah you have a good point, because this V8 version just can't keep up with 911 or Audi R8, but I wish this new DBS had the engine with 600 bhp, so it could be a match for a 599.
