I saw him @ B. Smith's in Sag Harbor this past Friday (7/29/2011). He could make a gutbucket sound funky!! A great player and a super nice guy.

yea thats true of course. Most of the emissions are made in terms of tone. I think, while his playing is good, the tone doesn't quite do the job.

I noticed that as well! Nothing against Squiers, it's just they seem more low end. Guess it just goes to show that it's the player, not the instrument.
