Unlike many of the standard Robo-One robot designs that are based on the Kondo KHR-1 platform, Black Seed is a full custom design from the ground up. It consistently places among the top 8 Robo-One competitors, and has an amazing amount of personality and spirit. For more information on Black Seed, and the latest robotics news, background, reviews, hacks, photos, and videos with exclusive on-site coverage from Japan, see Robots Dreams at http://www.robots-dreams.com

  • Lego is slowly working on projects like these.. :P for their bioncles and stuff like htat robo engine they made that lets u program your own robot made out of bioncle pieces

  • Hmm, looks like a super battle droid from attack of the clones.

  • I want upgrades. When why what where and how ?. with Heading Hold excellorometers ,all axis, and I don't want Infra Red control.

  • Looks like a ten minute wonder , then melt down. even worse when they fly , wow,.. like a minute wonder ,before the dog chews on it . Fine technology in the right hands. Where can I buy this model from anyhow ?. I desevere one right now for what I posted .

  • Americans don't really care about humanoid type robots. They're really impractical. I think they're cool as hell, but at this point in time they're just very expensive toys. One of those goes for around $1200 for a kit.

  • Claws

  • Like that robo. Bi-ped bots are my favourite! And Japan is my favourite country!

  • I can't wait to see these in the U.S.

C.M.U. is still goofing with crap on wheels. We are very much behind

in robotics. At least nothing in the U.S. has impressed me as much as the Japanese robots and designs. This is really going to be the age of Bi-ped robots....

  • I don't understand how you can call that dumb...you are dumb for making that remark. Unless dumb ...to you means amazing,,,but I doubt that !
