  • What is the learning experience from this toy?!. It is already made and programed. or is the club is doing another robot by learning from this one?

  • @bjeddahb

The Robot comes disassembled and with a couple of sample motions. Some of which are displayed while others such as the walking forward motion were made by us from scratch. We are planning more custom motions to suit a soccer match and move forward in making a team of Kondo robots to participate in the robocup tournament.

  • @X5Dragon So the learning experience is how to set command lines in the appropriate sequence to do a special movement in its best formation. good.

There is little learning in assembling for your level now...It is like Lego. also, dont say it is from scratch because technically it is not.

I dont want to sound as a negative person here but I think It is not qualified for the robocub. In what league will it participate? sorry for my harsh tone.

  • @bjeddahb

This is like building a foundations for a team, knowing the limitations, how to do our custom motions, etc.. Of course in order to compete we need to install vision units (camera), choose the method of communication between robots, football tactics, etc. A robot like the Kondo will usually compete in the kid (small) humanoid league.

  • hi!

    i'm a kfupmer :P

which majors can attend the robocup group? or it's open for all??!

  • @tgammar

Hi, sorry for the delay, I tried replying several times but there is something wrong with the tube! Anyway, all majors, especially those related to CS, COE, EE, ME and others can join. Ask Dr. Mayez in bldg. 22, second floor next to the dean, he is in charge! Are visit his website for more details. Peace.

  • Wow,

    1. Fantastic

    2. Genius

    Good luck my colleague

  • I'll be making a tutorial on how to use the Heart2Heart program (motion mixer) that comes with the Kondo robot soon.

  • It's a Japanese robot, it will take the rocks and play baseball with them instead <_<
