Uhhh, that was David Carradine. Young Caine was played by his brother, Keith Carradine. Sorry, just want to keep facts where they are.

tripo1samson....what are you saying? It does not matter if the story is true or not. Maybe it is. the point is still the same. who knows if anybody can do the rice paper walk for real? Such monks were ("obviously")able to perceive and do many things we cannot. Most westerners don't think past the age of their skin or cars. Unless their is profit involved. The purity and challenge of the 'rice paper walk' scares away most so-called civilized people. If not real...it is a great metaphor.

So very well stated, friend. Tell me . . . do you understand what it is to understand without knowing once one ceases to strive to understand? Another piece of wisdom from the show. "When you cease striving to understand then you will know without understand." Few are they who can interpret what is meant here.
