Dear Sarah,
As I see you are working hard to win this 2008 election, I feel I must explain my purpose in selecting you as Vice President. My strong desire to see a Republican in the White House was fueled by my dislike of the Clinton dynasty. If Hillary were elected she would continue for eight years and maybe followed by her daughter Chelsea. A sixteen year run of Clinton Democrats is intolerable. Since Hillary is not in the election, my desires and motivations have changed. The McCain legacy will include my service as a naval aviator to my country in war, nearly losing my life being a tortured prisoner of war, from 1967 to 1973. As a member of the House of Representatives and a member of the US Senate I will go down in history as a great American and Presidential candidate.
Why would I want to take on the failures of the Bush Administration, a nation fractured, and with the obligation to bring peace and "democracy" to the middle east. The stress, aging process, and advancement of my cancer will no doubt result in death while President, leaving the nation in the hands of your inexperience. I can lose the election to the first black American and set forth the political future of the first female Republican Vice President candidate. If you can secure the experience and refrain from acquiring negative personal press, you could benefit from my endorsement, but WE NEED TO LOSE WITH HONOR and this is were you can be of help.
Sarah you an excellent choice. I would like to move onto greener pastures leaving history to judge. Historians will see the wisdom of allowing a young black man the opportunity for advancement by an elder statesman and military hero. They will write off the defeat in election of 2008 to the negative record I inherited from George W. Bush and the inexperience of my candidate for Vice President.
I hope you understand and will follow the game plan. You have a family Todd, Tag, Willow, Bristol, Piper, Trig who loves the outdoors and natural beauty of your State. These are not the rewards of a Vice President living in Washington DC and giving full time service to our country.

In mid 2006 President Bush had been in the White House just over 5 years. The Dow had hit a record high of 14300, outpaced STOXX, nearly 7 million jobs had been created since 9/11, unemployement was lower than all EU socialist states.

Over 1 million jobs lost this year

Unemployment is over 6 percent

Consumer confidence is at an all time low.
