That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't see why it would hurt any of the big players to reveal their browser stats, although of course even with a sample size of 100% there will still be errors because of the way different browsers work.
There should be an fully independent statistics bureau that collects and compiles statistics for browser types, browser versions, level of broadband access and the ubiquity of flash, quicktime, and shockwave. It could provide breakdowns by country and demographic.

I say this because rather than suggest that we ask outside of these vlogs, why not invite other relevant Google teams to make a guest vlog?
