When I first started the VLCD I needed something satisfying without adding too many additional calories. I also had to work within the very restricted foods allowed by Dr. Simeon. Here is the Recipe.

  • Wow, that looks fabulous!! Thanks for the info!

  • You're welcome. It really saved me especially during the early days of phase 2. Let me know how you like it. Steve

  • Thank You imashoejunky . . . You're Welcome!

  • Great information! I appreciate your demonstration and clarity with product information. It is all very helpful. I made the Strawberry Lemonade the night before work and discovered how the consistency was thicker when some time elapsed after making it. It was very satisfying. I guess that is an effect of the pectin from the lemon. Also, the green tea tip is excellent for promoting good health.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks for posting and for your feedback. Keep in touch and let me know how you're doing with the Hcg diet.

  • Great video! Lots of good information. Good to know about the Japanese vs. Chinese green tea. Where do you get such a large bag? How do you keep it from being bitter? Mine always is so I know I'm doing something wrong in the brewing stage. Also, awesome recipe for the strawberry lemonade. I haven't started yet, but will definitely make it when I do. I don't have a Vitamix, but wonder if using a juicer (and saving the pulp) would work just as well.

    Good job!

  • Thank You MyrtleFaye.

I sent you an email about green tea. But I forgot to mention the biggest secret to brewing green tea without bringing out any bitterness. I am usually in a hurry and I like my green tea with a sharp edge and I'm not very sensitive to the bitterness (I used to drink rugged coffees). For Sencha without bitterness just let your water cool down before brewing; 175 F. to 195 F should work fine (water boils at 212 F sea level) steep only 2 min. instead of 4 min.

  • white tea is supposed to be the best of teas, bc they process green tea more. Although you never hear about white tea only the benifits of green. Great vid about the drink. I use the lemon zest when I make garlic shrimp on P2. Not a problem to use the outer portion of the lemon.

  • How are you doing on the diet today? I have yet to try it.

  • Thank you I WAS USING SOME LEMON PEEL WHEN I MADE MINE, NOW I KNOW OF COURSE IT HAS OIL, THESE DRINKS HAVE ALSO SAVED ME FROM MY HUNGER . i STARTED A COUPLE DAYS AFTER MY FIRST INJECTION I THOUGHT IT WAS A BRILLIANT IDEA I CAME UP WITH. BRILLIANT MINDS THINK A LIKE I GUESS

  • Sound very refreshing! I will be trying that soon.
