The debate goes on about whether youth baseball players should use wood or metal bats. New York City has banned metal. One local American Legion league uses wood only. Elsewhere, debate continues. Wood is sometimes safer, and these days, it's cheaper. But harder to hit.

  • @Bronco2544 I've hit probably 2000 balls on my SamBat and no signs of breakage.

  • @jeeshgod

If your playing college ball and haven't broken a bat in 3 years you must hit once a year cause no way in hell a wood is lasting that long

  • wood bats are better i myself use one and im 26 years old in colledge baseball ive used the same bat for 3 years and it has never broken yet

  • Metal bats are obnoxious, not dangerous.

The lesson is KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL

  • COMPOSITE!!!!!!

  • yall can all just shut up, for as long as i can remember you use alluminum bats through out little leauge and on up to college baseball. If you play baseball just man up and stop bein a pussy. The only reason the MLB uses wooden bats is because they would be puttin balls over the wall whenever they wanted.

  • metal bats make mediocre hitters good hitters. If someone can hit .300 with wood they can hit .400 plus with metal

  • in canada once you turn sixteen you must use a wood bat for both travel teams and high school teams. alone this year i have broken three wood bats, only one was a severe break where i hit the sweet spot of the bat, but the handle broke, sending the barrel thirty feet in to the stands.

even though wood breaks alot, it is alot safer because you dont have those bats that make the ball explode off the bat sending a 100 mph line drive at the pitcher.
