Saturday was of Charlie Wilson's looong awaited come back in Paris, France.
He played in Trianon theater which is immediately next door to Elysee Montmartre where his old-time friend Roger Troutman played with the Zapp Band EXACTLY twenty years ago.
So Charlie's reprises of "I want to be your man" and "Doo wah ditty" were quite moving for those of us who were there on that September 1991 evening. RIP Roger.
The show was the bomb ("Hey what did you expect ?") and Mr Wilson as all great artits do took the time after the show to take pictures with the fans, signing autographs and chit-chatting.
I have met a few band members from Michigan (Hello Cordell and Jay :) ) together with a fine team of great profesionnals (cool and dedicated) adept in the art of merchandising.
Great musicians and dancers.
Two fellows from Dayton OH among them: PASS MY BEST REGARDS TO CATALPA DRIVE !
Real live music with real musicians. Great songs and solid gold dedication to Funk music.
@azizbrs I love Charlie Wilson and it's so hard to get good video of him performing. Thank you so much, this is great and I love you for posting
