  • currently i am using the Dmx Operator by Elation or American Dj its about 200 bucks. the Operater has about 16 channels per fixture. most of my lights have about 8 chanels per fixture. i recomend the operater because it is easy to learn and you have more room to grow. you can have up to 12 fixtures hooked up to the Operator. Other companies have similar products and they work just as well because its kind of a standard lighting controller and they also are about 200 bucks.

  • sorry to say but no i personally have not tried a foot controller for this product nor do i know of anyone who has. I do not even know how much the foot controller cost in comparison to a regular dmx controller. my dmx controller is simple yet affordable and would adress your concerns easily. so i recomend just buying a regular dmx controller. that way you can controll all your other lights as well. :)

  • Ok, well I asure you I do not have a computer DMX controler, yet. this scanning is a built in controllable preset by chauvet. I recomand buying at least two units when you connect them together u see how they are ment to work.

  • Is that just two of them?

  • yep, its just two but since then ihave added four, i plan on not stoping till i reach 32 because you can have 32 linked up to each other. insane.

  • what controller are you using with these guys? im thinking of picking a couple up, but i dont have a controller yet. i was thinking of a simple dmx-40 b, but i wanted to know if thatd be enough

  • these fixtures are only four channels each. any simple controler will work and i most recently descovered that it does pretty well with out a controller.

  • Best video I have seen with these colorstrips! Chauvet should send you a few to say thank you. Actually shows what the throw and width of the beam. Thank you!

  • In my band, we use one of these along with a couple of accuspots 250 II. These colorstrips light up the dance floors pretty nicely.

  • Love the music bro

  • If you don't mind me asking, what controller are you using. I have since decided that will definitely be the best way to go and am now looking at controllers! Thanks for the help!

  • Has anyone tried using the optional foot controller that you can add to this? I love all the built in patterns, I'm just concerned about being able to quickly set a static color for perhaps a slow song or if I don't want too much flashing going on.

  • are you using a computer controlled controller or general dmx controller? I like the way it scans from left to right and then right to left and I dont believe I could do that with my regualar dmx contoller.
