Every time I watch this I just keep thinking about the 46% of America who refutes evolution in favor of their creation myths. What if that percentage gets bigger? Will we meet the same fate as the mighty Baghdad, oasis of knowledge and scientific reason circa 1100? Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it...indeed.

On public forums such as these I see it being far more valuable to confront dishonest claims than it is to "convince" the person I'm arguing with. Of course I'm sometimes mistaken for trying to convince them out of their religion, but that is never my goal.

Mic audio should have been normalised. Not like it affects the video's content of course.

    Richard Carrier,David Fitzgerald,Robert M Price,Alvar Ellegard are scholars that

refute existence.Alpha/Omega is from the ancient Roman God "Janus" past/future.

Maybe you are right. But I like to show them that there are rational people out there whom you can talk to even though they call themselves "atheists".

As Sam Harris has proposed: We shouldn't call ourselves atheists because of the bullshit biases that exists.

If you are talking to someone that is not deliberately spreading misinformation in order to convert people to their favorite dogma, you have a really good chance to at least convince them that atheists are just normal people.

I've come to the conclusion that you CAN NOT have a rational conversation with but only a very, very few. The rest are completely hopeless. One of my ways is to force them to acknowledge the three attributes that God HAS to have. Even that is almost impossible and they stop responding because as soon as they start to think about them and evil at the same time THEY jam their own beliefs up their own poops. The problem of evil over and over and over is the only thing they can't deal with.

MY sources say about 50 years after. Some 100. It doesn't matter if they're PRE-DATED by a few years. There's no difference between them and what IS pulled out of the garbage. My point exactly. Thanks for making it. You can bury your head back in the sand now. Thanks.

There is nothing contradictory whatsoever in the "gospels" unless you intentionally try to misunderstand and find one. The account in Matthew traces Jesus' genealogy back through Mary to Abraham and the account in the Gospel of Luke from Joseph ("so it was thought") to Abraham, which is the main purpose of those genealogies. I assume that's what you're talking about, even though you make a blank statement simply intended to smear the Bible with zero specifics, so I can't tell for sure.

I hear the sentence "There is nothing in the bible that could not have been written by a first century human." quite often and never challenged.

On the other hand, there are so many petty, violent, and morally and factually wrong things in the bible that suggesting it to be the work of a perfect beeing would be quite bizarre.

Well I should say that people have found things that would fit the description of some places or items in the bible. At least meaning that whoever wrote it did a good amount of research.
