I like the vids. Gives me ideas for the future. In a couple years we're moving to a 2.5 acre lot from a .3 acre lot so a greenhouse and some gardens will keep me busy.

Hi CP. Your poor Swiss Chard is going to grow up with a complex if you keep calling it Kale lol! Why are you pinching off flowers? Aren't the flowers going to turn into the fruit/veggies? I know that with my new strawberry plants i was told to pinch the flowers all off the first year and sacrifice the berries for that year to get much larger and healthier plants the next year. But the flowers on the tomato plants turn into tomatoes. Just wondering.

Cabbage should be put in as plants not seed...same with broccoli..In the fall..mix some composted manure an a big square of peat moss..that will help nourish your soil for next year..and break up the soil some ..and then cover with landscape fabric and weight down with rocks..this will kill any budding weeds..and will "cook" the composted manure over winter..Being canadian..I wouldn't pinch off the flowers of your peppers and tomatoes..that fruit..and our growing season is short.
