This is a trailer for an idea that I had. I want to make a fandom roleplaying game for ATWT and I'm hoping this increases the interest. You could also just see it as a trailer for the current storylines as well.

Is this a gay series or a regular series with only one gay couple there?

@Bruno1986BR As the World Turns was an American soap opera. The storyline that follows Luke (the blonde guy) is the only gay storyline in the series. However, there is a person ( LukeVanFan ) who has put up all the Luke related storyline on his youtube account.

Dang it! Why'd you have to go and make this and tell me you have an ATWT roleplay?? I cannot let myself get sucked into it. I want to. I really do. But I don't have the time for it! I love the trailer, but now I must run away screaming before I let myself get sucked into it and never sleep again.

@EtniesBoy13 Thanks. Yes, it's not so different from Brazil, most watchers are middle class women and suburban men and mostly women. I'm middle class, I HATE soap operas, but my mother and sister watch all the time, then I inevitably know their stories a little. Still, I know that nothing happens between the gay characters. My people ought to grow up, but they're too closed-minded. One thing is being kind to foreigners from any country, rich or poor, another is being open-mindend. They aren't...

@EtniesBoy13 Well, actually last year a soap opera from SBT, a small channel, showed a lesbian kiss, considered the first in Brazilian television, once that one from 2003 (Globo TV) was awful. Our biggest channel, Globo TV, is hypocrite, most soap operas have gay couples that never kiss and after that the horrible humour programmes make stupid jokes about gay people. Besides, this channel helped the dictators that made Brazil a hell between the 60s and the 80s. Good thing I was born later.

@Bruno1986BR Yes your English would be correct. American soaps just have a long history of being watched by middle class, suburban, middle America housewives so to have 2 men kissing probably wasnt what they wanted to see. It soon was apparent that people liked Luke and Noah and wanted to see them show more affection so they stopped the "kissing ban" and they went on with their stories as the other couples did. (kissing, sex and sex talk included, haha)

@EtniesBoy13 Oh, now I understand why they didn't kiss at all. Even knowing how it ends now I'm going to watch the rest of their story for the kisses! lol

I'm not surprised closed-minded (is it correct in English?) people were behind. At least gay kisses are getting normal there. Here in Brazil, the 1st lesbian couple, from 2003, kissed in the last episode and the actress' disguised face could be noticed by miles. Since then most soap operas have gay couples but they seldom hug and NEVER kiss.

@Bruno1986BR Well they end up kissing a lot more after that storyline. There was a controversy over here where people didn't want them showing affection but after that was worked out they started kissing and sexing it up, lol. They ended Luke and Noah's story but we just didn't know if they ended up together because I think they wanted viewers to have their own interpretation

@EtniesBoy13 Wow, As The World Turns made history in the American television. About Luke and Noah, thanks for telling me the end. I stopped watching when I saw no kiss in 100 videos on YouTube and Noah married that boring muslim girl. But I was still curious.

About cancelling, it's so annoying that lately most series end suddenly because are cancelled... They ought to write the whole plot before starting the very first episode, thus there would be no more disappointed fans.

@Bruno1986BR And Noah was Luke's first guy kiss and first boyfriend but they were on and off for 4 years. Luke kissed his grandma's new husband (gross) and then fell in love with a doctor who he dated until the show ended and he (Reid) died. One of Noah's teachers was trying to get at him but nothing ever happened with them. It ended with Noah moving away but telling Luke he still loved him. They kissed but it wasn't clear if they ended up together or not.

@Bruno1986BR It was canceled during it's 54th season. This was like a year and a half ago. I was heartbroken. Such a good show. The cast pretty much stayed the same. Same families but they brought in different members from time to time. There were like 4 characters that been on the show for more than 45 years and 1 that was on for the entire 54 until she died (in real life) about 4 months before the show ended. She was pretty much the martriach of the whole show.

@EtniesBoy13 WHAAAAAAT??? As The World Turns had been on TV for 50 years and finished recently? Seriously? There's a soap opera here in Brazil that I hate: Malhação, since 1995, changing the cast almost every year. I'm not surprised that there are other soap operas that never end and change cast periodically in other countries, but I thought they were something recent. So Luke had other boyfriends but when Noah joined the cast he became Luke's last boyfriend?

@Bruno1986BR he only came out about 4 years before the show was canceled. once he was out, the first gay storyline began despite the show already being on the air for 50 years. he has a few relationships but his true love (in my opinion) was noah who was also on the show til it ended. i only started watching it for them but quickly fell in love with all the characters and storylines
