'Salmiakki Sessions Vol. 1' by Darude is a reflection of his monthly namesake radio mixshow 'Salmiakki Sessions' (on air since 2005). This mix compilation consists of 10 of his recent remix productions as well as tried and tested gems he's been playing in his live DJ sets regularly. Like the radio show, the compilation also aims to support both household and up-and-coming fellow Finnish names in the dance music scene.

The compilation is also sort of a recap of what Darude has done between his previous album 'Label This!' and now when he's working towards his next original artist album.

The iTunes exclusive release date is December 20th.

Not gonna lie, I thought your time was up in making new music and that you were outta ideas but after taking the time to listening to this new cd preview coming out, I like it and feel its the next level with Darude. Keep it coming and come back to Detroit. Also didnt know you played hockey but awesome to hear.

@mattkredwings2009 Well, I've been a little less active in the studio for various reasons, but I have been gigging regularly 30-50 gigs a year still, and that'll probably increase this year with the release of the mix compilation and as I'm working towards my next artist album, too.

The compilation btw is now available in to formats, 1) a continuous split mix 2) unmixed extended mixes + full length mix, you can grab it from iTunes, Amazon, Beatport and all the other "usual" stores!
