Tavi Gevinson is editor-in-chief and founder of RookieMag.com and writes thestylerookie.com. Rookie, a site for teenage girls, broke 1 million page views within 5 days of launching in September of 2011, and contributors have included Miranda July, Dan Savage, Joss Whedon, JD Samson, Zooey Deschanel, Sady Doyle, Lesley Arfin, and Cindy Gallop. It has received praise from Weekend Edition Sunday on NPR, the New Yorker, and a number of other publications, and, most importantly, the girls who write in to the site. Tavi has also written for publications such as Harper's Bazaar, Jezebel, Lula, and Pop, and is a contributing editor to GARAGE magazine. She is 15 and a sophomore in high school, and also the author of an embarrassing diary recently found from the 6th grade.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Women do not want superiority, but equality. Women want to be paid the same amount as a man in the same work, have the opportunity to be a manager/leader of a team, be regarded as a person, not an object. Is this what you define as superior objectives? NO.

(continued). Do you ever hear 'feminists' say "I want more pay than men" or "I'm better than a man!"? No, you don't. You do however see women actively campaigning for equal rights.

OMG, I am feeling with you, American women. You have a long, long way ahead of you towards gender-equality. So much stupidity still gathered in your country, i wish you all the patience and strong will to just keep going, it will come! You need more time than for example scandinavia, but in the end we will get equality and respect. Warm thoughts to you!

Hahaha, never heard of condoms, have you? use them if you don't want to get a woman pregnant and become "enslaved"! (interesting word choice, btw, you seem to not have understood the concept of slavery)
To everyone else:
Notice the use of suppression technique "ridicule" when (s)he wrote "*Sigh* [...] sweetheart." I can only recommend everyone to read the wiki-article "Master Suppression Techniques" to learn what unconscoius ways men have to hold women down.

It's sad that feminism can warp our greater sense of gynocentrism and twist it into a victim complex for women and white-knight syndrome in men.
Feminists go on about the oppression in the past and now but fail to refute the criticism of their claims. They also fail to see men as people, but as oppressors or 'misguided by patriarchy'.
In every category that counts: suicide, illness, poverty, homelessness, crime, etc. men are the vastly affected majority. Feminists won't even acknowledge this.

You want an example? Here's an example. Not about discrimination or less opportunities, but about less respect. And that's still sexism.

Feminism isn't a hate group; it's a belief. An example of a hate group is the KKK.
Feminism isn't about female supremacy! It's about equal respect and rights towards women. EQUALITY. Nowadays, it's more about respect than rights. Does this mean that I hate and want power over men? No, I despise misandrists.
I studied History and Religious Studies. It's impossible for me not to look at both sides of the argument. So, yes, I've looked at them.
I'm a feminist because I'm open-minded. Simple.

Not that I or anyone actually cares, but I can't resist pointing out that the highest IQ is of no consequence to anyone but that person.
How they use their IQ is what society values. Not to mention if you wanted to play a numbers game you may claim the smartest genius but men can claim the most by a wide margin.
Start looking at people AS people. You'll find feminist notions of inequality start to fade away when a person's merit and choices are considered before their gender.

Frankly, I do not want children, so reproductive rights don't concern me personally.
"Women have the pill, morning after pill, abortion" - Contraceptives prevent overpopulation. It's a good thing.
"FORCED enslavement of the man she had the pregnancy with." - He doesn't have to stay. He can leave.
"Men have no choice." "His body, also her choice." - Please elaborate. I'm not quite certain about what you're referring to.

*Sigh* Men don't have reproductive rights sweetheart. There is no equality where it counts.
Women have the pill, morning after pill, abortion, abandonment and FORCED enslavement of the man she had the pregnancy with.
Men have no choice. They must comply to will of the woman or face criminal charges, fines and imprisonment.
Her body, her choice. His body, also her choice. That equality to you? Worse yet, feminism as a collective initiated and maintains this specific inequality tooth and nail.
