I totally recommend the book "Wolf Hall" by Hilary Mantel, which chronicles the power plays in the Tudor royal court under the influence of Cardinal Wolsey.

@thevintagegoth Which books on Tudor history have been your favourites so far?
LadyMoonMelody 1 year ago
@LadyMoonMelody well, as far as content and information, i really like alison weir's non fiction books. her "the wives of henry viii" was the first non-ficiton book i read about all 6 wives and it's what made me want to be a historian. as far as my favourite historical fiction on the subject, i'd have to say it's a close call between all of philippa gregory's books but "the other queen" and "the constant princess" take the lead.
