But really, he was just a poor yes man for the fabian movement, which were/are (fabianism has become the dominant system in the west) just social darwinism in disguise. Other main fabian socialists of his day, like Bertrand Russell, Julian Huxley, or GB Shaw were also adamant on the "necessity" of totalitarian world rule and eugenics for economic purposes.

So, yes, I'm just stating these people's own stated ideas. No matter how much of a massive whitewash there has been.

  • @lebidiswa

Look, I mentioned Wells' ideas and opinions, from *his own words*. I also gave you references.

Wells did want to install a mass eugenics program to weed out the 'unfit', and he believed an internationalist class of intellectuals and oligarchs should rule the world in a totalitarian fashion, under a world state. He also admired the nazi and soviet systems, because they were so similar to his own 'utopia'. He said so himself.

  • @TheLibertyChannel Yes, well selective editing of the facts does not make for a balanced argument, doen not give a fair assessment of the man, and does NOT constitute 'the truth'.

  • @lebidiswa

That's why criticism of Wells and others (and you're not even doing a critique per se when you just point out his real ideas and writings) is not publicized, in this day and age.

As for agendas: pal, I've got a +/- 3000 subscribers channel here on youtube, where I post material I find informative. So, rest assured, I'm not planning on "taking over society", nor would I have the means for doing it, if I wanted to. My interest is the truth.

  • @lebidiswa Well, your MO was to make an ad hominem attack.

Look, I gave you sources and references, from Wells himself. So, this conversation is quite futile, in its present standing. You should investigate for yourself what Wells, the man, had to say about his worldview. And also, the associations and movements that he was a part of -- fabian socialism, technocracy. Wells himself was only a propagandist for a much larger, self-documented, machine. One which has won.

  • @TheLibertyChannel ... tell me what that is. It seems to be almost exclusively negative (i.e. it snipes at diverse subjects, but is not clear exactly what you are FOR) paranoid, sensationalist, lacking evidential value etc. Something to do with the right wing, American bible-belt, lunatic fringe? Anyway, I suppose you may carry a few credulous types, but ultimately your propaganda will fail because (and here you really could take a lesson from Wells!) it is a) not entertaining, and b) stupid.

  • @TheLibertyChannel ... your modus operandi. The intelligent critique works from the general to the particular: the zealot mentalty employs a complete reversal by desperately trawling for anything useful (and often out of context) to make the facts fit the ideology. I mean it's pretty pathetic stuff, but the interesting question is what motivates someone to expend so much time and energy in disseminating this rubbish. You obviously have some agenda, but looking at your site doesn't immediately...

  • @TheLibertyChannel ... totalitarian) writing of Wells towards the end of his life (1941) said: 'All sensible men for decades past have been substantially in agreement with what Mr. Wells says'. Now let me ask you a simple question: Is it, even remotely, conceivable that Orwell (who knew Wells personally) could've failed to spot what you have observed at a cursory glance - or are you proposing he was a closet Nazi too? As for the charge of 'adjusting realty to your desires' - but that is ...

  • @TheLibertyChannel It's not a question of hero worship. Wells is generally considered one of the most influential and original thinkers of his time; and as a consequence there is a wealth of biographical and critical material available. Yet nowhere, to my knowledge, even among his detractors, is it suggested he was fascist, totalitarian, criminal monster. Indeed, George Orwell (the thrust of whose fictional and critical work was, perhaps more than any other writer, anti left and right wing ...

  • @lebidiswa

By the way, talking of monsters, besides the poor soul that was Wells, you should also go into GB Shaw, another socialist hero.

If you actually research, instead of adjusting reality to your desires, you'll find his BBC recording where he states that, in the fabian state, you'd only be allowed to live if you'd be useful to the state. You'll also find his Times report where he advocates mass sterilizing the poor.

And his calls for a 'painless gas', for mass executions of the 'unfit'.
