Here is one of my new original songs : I Will Go First. There might be some english mistakes as none of my english speaking friends have corrected it for me so if you spot any, please tell me so I can try and correct it ! I hope you'll like it anyway !

Also I've recorded another video today so I'll probably upload it next week !

MP3 : http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?vgjjv39yl56edlp

Lyrics & Chords :

C / Em / Am / F (for the Em you need to keep your first finger on the C, like in the previous chord. If anyone know the name of that Em please tell me !)

So if you don't wanna start, I'll go first, friend, I'll tell you about
How hard it's been, how I'm ripped apart, how I died once or twice just to make it this far
How I can't sing all them lullabies, and how I can't get through the night without the stars
How life ain't fair, how I'm used to that
How if you would show me yours, I'd show you my scars

Said hm, said hm, I will go first, I will go first
Said hm, said hm, I will go first, I will go first

Them birds I fear, them years I fear, them songs I fear, and the red red dust
Them cars I fear, them lovers I fear, I will no longer heal from them

So if you're done, playin' shy, open up, friend, and tell me about
How lost you've been, how quite insecure, how it is true that they came knockin' at your door
How dark it's been with or without lights, and how you can't swim unless you know where to sink at
How cold it gets, how you're used to that
How if I would stay right here, you'd stay there by my side

Said hm, said hm, I will go first, I will go first
Said hm, said hm, I will go first, I will go first

We didn't ask for that much, did we ?
We almost got it right
We'll never get to change it, will we ?
We can't go back in time

  • Franchement, plus je regarde tes vidéos, plus je me dis que tu mérite d'être beaucoup plus connu... Tu as une voix magnifique et d'un incroyable justesse et tu as également une excellente prononciation de l'anglais. Continue, t'as vraiment beaucoup de talent.

  • Remi can I hug your face plz?

  • In my opinion the words you chose and how you wrote it are good and should stay the way they are. The way the song is written and sung makes it unique. Different. I personally like it.

  • This is seriously one of the most beautiful songs I've ever listened to. It's so simple, but it really hits home for me. Definitely one of my new favoritess<3 (:

  • @Remitocoko You should do a cover of Raise Your Glass by Pink. =) I think your voice is very good for that song.

  • @MatthewScottRose Ok I get it, thanks a lot for helping ! Have a great day Matthew ! :)

  • @Remitocoko I've listened to the song and I like it the way that it is. I agree that by the "rules" or English, having 'at' at the end of the line is not grammatically correct, but there are a lot of songs that don't follow the rules. The beauty of self expression is that you don't always have to. Even in French, I would assume that not all songs are "correct" by the rules of the language - but you really don't have to be. Excellent songwriting - you have a great talent.
