Symphony X: A intense progressive metal band founded in USA (New Jersey) by Romeo. The band's music blends orchestral parts with hard beats and metal riffs to create a unique sound.

The Odyssey: (Actuall run time- 24min 10+secs) Considered to be one of Symphony X's greatest masterpieces. This 24 minute song consists of VII (7) parts that tell Odysseus's tale to Troy and then back home again to Ithica. This monster song includes some of Symphony X's best orchestral parts as well as metal guitar solos and heavy drum beats. The song perfectly blends the elements of rock with orchestral melodies.

The second and last part of this song are probably the most underrated. The song starts with a magic-like intro that the band is known for. After about four minutes and a great guitar solo, it blends into part II, which is a "cooled down" part of the song.

Part III and IV are more for the rock fan, consisting of great vocals and guitar riffs. In the fifth part, they go into my least favorate part of the song. With heavy a sounding guitar and faster drums, this part flys by very quickly.

Part VI is once again a orchestral masteriece. It seems to flow perfectly and blend with the song. The bass in this part is what stood out for me.

Part VII is once again a work of art. "Champion of Ithica" tells the tale of Odysseus returning from his journey and being a champion. This part is fast and seems to reflect on the second part, which is why I put them both on this video.

They are by-far the most underrated parts in this song, but tell me your opinion on this song aswell as on the band!!
