@Antrizzle2009: Yeah. Most wrestlers will tell you that it takes practice to get good on the mic. Some people have natural ability like Jake or Piper where they didn't have to work at it as much. Most guys have to work hard to find that sweet spot where they can dial into at anytime to give classic promos.

This should be brought back. Would help bring more wrestling to the show, this could be the little "update" thing.

@JonasDygd True. I'm just saying, this is one of the first interview segments he was ever involved in. I wouldn't have expected them to give him substantial mic time at this point his career. THat's all I was saying.

@breakwellpicturez Agreed.

@Antrizzle2009 Look up the "Vinnie Vegas - Josh is Fat!"-interview that he did back in WCW. The material is not very good, but the delivery is. Nash was a natural on the mic. Also, how do you develop mic skills if you're not allowed to talk? Remember, the reason Bret Hart wore sunglasses originally was because he was so nervous talking on TV. That said, the plan was obviously never to keep him quiet forever.

@JonasDygd It takes time to develop those verbal skills. If you remember correctly, Rock used to SUCK at talking, but then he got better over time. Same with Edge for that matter. Nash was still relatively young and inexperienced. Even before this in WCW, he almost never had to talk. He was OZ and Vinnie Vegas for goodness sakes lol.
Looking back, it's really funny that such a great talker like Kevin Nash was choosen to play the role of a silent bodyguard (he talked here as they were loosening him up a bit, but originally he was quiet.) Well well, we've all got to start somewhere :)

It was a good way to introduce him to the audience and get them used to him. In addition, it made him that more interesting and it kept people anticipitating more participation.
