608 PORTIA ST. FIRE

Nokomis fire Dept in Nokomis Florida. On march 22nd at 16:06 Nokomis, Sarasota county fire dept city of Venice dept responded for a working two story structure fire. on scene battalion 41 in command reported heavy smoke and fire showing from the roof engine 41 on scene pulled pre connect to front door. Tanker 41 on scene hit the hydrant with 5" and connected to E41 and pulled 2 1/2 around backside of structure. Search was made by R 23 and E 42 of first floor E52 pull a 21/2 to delta side for exposure protection TRK 51 assisted with 2 1/2 on back side of structure. State fire marshal called for investigation. Cause is still under investigation.
