billy joe is one of the last links to the ole country you listen to with your daddy drivin down the ol road an your daddy was sippin on a cold one, damn i wish i could go back , but the only bad part back then i couldnt have a cold one LOL !

We had several of those old flat-fendered Jeeps on the Ranch in Montana when I was a lad. They'd go back into the darnedest places in the timber way back in the hills. The heaters never worked and they'd only go 45 mph on the blacktop, but they was all we had. Bill Joe get's it all right once again.

I'd really like to thank all those who have taken time to comment, most of which very much in the positive. I put this vid together when recovering from a surgery and thus, had the time. Gonna have to try and put another one together I suppose! Just so damn good to know how many Shaver fans are out there. He won't be with us forever, so need to appreciate him even more now!

Damn! I love Johnny Paychecks version of this with the funky base line......but heck I really feel this version....gonna have to find some of his albums he's writen some real classics.
