SC4 is a fan service cheap game like DOA.

That's why they added star wars, that's why Ivy's boobs size have tripled, that's why sophitia's saying lines like "naughty kid", that's why u can strip ur oppoent, that's why u have beautiful graphics with shitty stories, that's why even the holy sword soul calibur it self has been stained, that's why there aren't any true heros anymore in SC4 but sluts and "badass" fighters, and that's why US likes it while it has no success in japan. What a waste.

I'm absolutely gutted that Xianghua is to be replaced with her daughter Leixia in SC 5 the, same way I'm gutted that Pyrrah is replacing Sophitia and Natsu is replacing Taki. I personally think that setting the storyline 17 year later is a BIG MISTAKE that I think Namco will regret as they will loose a LOT of SC fans by doing this. They should rethink this and continue to set the game in 1591 which is the year in which SC2, 3, and 4 are set so that Taki, Sophitia and Xianghua can still be in it.

@Tamplet5 You're right. Apart from the Sophitia bit - she was always a bit of a slut. Even in Soul Calibur 1, she had that throw where she grabs your face and slams it in her vaginal area, giggles, and says "was that too much?" She says it in japanese, but it's still pretty dirty.

@Tamplet5 Actually, there are a few people that are there to be disliked, pitied and whatever.

It's not just boobs and ass. If you want boobs and ass, go watch Witchblade or play Blade & Soul when it comes out. Better still, play DOA (as you said).

DOA was BUILT on boobs and ass, whereas this has a much better plotline.

I wish there was some place I could find all of the artwork from SC1. I really miss it. And I love this costume for Xiangua.

It still gets me- How beautiful the Dreamcast Soul Calibur is- even now. I think they had better aesthetics and tried to keep the characters withing the historical context. The english voice acting in the later editions is always terrible.

I couldn't agree more. The whole series died out when they changed the name and forever ruined the series. Soul Edge/Blade will always be the best Soul game, and thee is nothing that can change that.
