That is a JDM spec MR2 not the slightly weaken US spec.

JDM rev4 (which that is) 241bhp

US 200bhp

I have an MR2 turbo rev 3 but i'm not gonna blindly say its the fastest car in the world

But hey ok, you are right. Here in the Netherlands, the 5sge is never delivered, only the 3sge with 156bhp, and from 94 till 00 the 175bhp version. Turbo's are here swapped or imported, even as the Beams engine. Thanks 4 correcting me.

@Wauzzzie i was referring to the revisions of the MR2 and not of the engine.

of course the engine has been around longer than the mk2 mr2. but it has also been in many other markets than just the US and Japan. the turbo was never available here in the uk, we got the 3sge 118bhp, 158bhp and 174bhp. eventualy. some people had imported the rev5 210bhp Beams engine but they are very very rare.

Rev 1 3SGTE is never livered in the MR2, that was an Celica engine, the ST185 if I'm not wrong.

The Rev2 3SGTE is livered in Japan and the USA, which had 204 and 225 bhp. The 204bhp.

The Rev3 3SGTE has 245 bhp and is livered in Japan, and never made it in the USA.

The Rev4 3SGTE is an Toyota Caldina engine which has 265 bhp, and is never livered in the MR2 SW20.

@odin5 all rev 4 mr2's (of which this is one) are 241bhp. even the us spec ones. the rev 1 was 200bhp, rev2-3 was 215bhp.

but the 3.0v6 twin turbo mr2 is best!!..lol

power to weight ratio is a vital role. mr2 comes in at a little under 3000, while supra is about 3400.
