Lyrics:

[Chorus -- Lisa]
We're living in freedom / living in freedom / and she stands for hope every single day / she's standing for our liberty / standing for our hopes and dreams / yes, we're living in freedom / freedom / she stands for our liberty

[Verse 1 - Edward]
It's evident that she's a symbol of our freedom, yes / taking a glimpse into our history, we see we're blessed / our hopes and dreams were tested / but through lows we keep on pressing / it's the spirit of our people, no we won't keep being oppressed, it's / the passion for our nation, that's the reason why we're free / ain't no other reason why they gave us lady liberty / standing more than a hundred feet and holding high a bright torch / is the trophy we received with freedom on July 4th / in seventeen seventy-six / so when every citizen sees / they will never forget everything / this nation's framers envisioned and dreamed / and as a representation of friendship / between Americans and the French it's / the embodiment of the desire we share / for liberty here at home and there / this emblem / from the French has / become more than a possession / it mends us / and lets us / find a common ground to connect on / and, in the end it all comes down to what president Cleveland said: / the statue's found her home, her altar won't be neglected

[Chorus - Lisa]

[Verse 2 - Edward]
A symbol of liberty / for the exiles who moved here from Europe / a symbol of hope / for the immigrants who came to the U.S. / the statue held meaning not only to the colonists / there were millions of immigrants who saw it as a promise when / they left their home to seek a better life across the ocean / it was a symbol of the hope this nation offered to the hopeless / a symbol of freedom for the broken and oppressed / and a symbol of comfort for the lonely and distressed / / and what was the easiest thing to remember they saw on the day that they came to this nation? / The statue of liberty lifting their lows and hopes and holding the torch ablaze with / everything for which they were searching / everything for which they were working / sorely worried / and surely hurting / it was this for which they were yearning / they clearly remember the monument's image it would be impossible to forget / lifting the spirits and wishes of people who came without knowledge of what to expect / but what they found, it must've deeply relieved them / knowing that this country is living in freedom
