oh man! Thank you for posting!!! this was THE ride back in the day! broke my heart the day i went back to Disney as an adult only to find out it was gone … terrible!

the fact it's hard to tell what you're seeing here makes it really spooky.

The lagoon isn't murky and unkempt, and it isn't the uploader's fault: it's filmed at night. The show sequences were lit in the lagoon by two lights (on each side) at opposite ends of the line of portholes, so the lighting is hit and miss.

I remember how long this line would always be at Magic Kingdom. It was my dad's favorite ride. I wish they kept it around long enough for me to remember something other than the line, seeing as how that's all little kids ever really remember. I miss it. I wish it were still here. Now we just have nothingness in it's place.

I must say that the footage of the mermaids and serpent is really good! You can really see them, and that's one of my favorite parts of the east and west coast versions of this ride.

Wow. You should be glad to have ANY footage, and in COLOR, at that. I like it, even if it was recorded with a 1992 camcorder in a murky, unkempt lagoon. ;)
so happy you have this footage/so jealous that you probably have the memories to go along with it,
this was one of my fav. rides with my dad when i was younger, i can remember certain things, like how you walked onto the sub, and when the squid attacked your sub/the other sub you could see.
Such an awesome ride, it kills me to walk by it now and see there is no evidence it ever existed.

@Corpsebride01 up until maybe a month or so ago, where the lagoon was, they built Poohs Playful Spot. In the Playground was a tree made out of cement. Inside the tree was a impression in the false wood of a nautilus. with the expansion of Fantasyland in what was Toon Town, including Poohs Playful Spot, they moved the tree closer to the ride. I am sure the sub imprint will still be there. Better then nothing.

true, this was the best 1992 camcorder technology can do, I wish the ride was still operating today with todays technology and the water was cleaner and more light in the tank :)
