Man.... Retake is amazing. I loved it. It was perfect in almost every way.

For me, the official evangelion timeline is: anime series --> End of Evangelion --> Evangelion Re-Take. No spinoff can be better than Re-take, and , though I still have to watch them, I doubt that even the Rebuild movies will be.

Just finished reading it. Like everyone else, I feel it's a worthy conclusion of the series. Even the sex scenes are relevant after you think about it. Since the whole doujinshi is basically Shinji's own manifestation, it's how he can shape it (sorta like the original ending). Everything, even his sexual desires. It is off putting at first but it kinda makes sense that he would have sex with Asuka... since it's all fabricated and his feelings for her.
