  • Texas Swing is more than just music, its an icon. most of it was recorded 40 years before I was even born, and the first song that was taught to me on guitar by my best friend on Earth was Steel Guitar Rag. Bob Wills is to Texans what the Pope is to Catholics.

  • this song reminds of of the music we used to go here when I was a kid and mom would get out and dance on the floor and I would go out and dance with her!!!!!!!!! wooohooooooooo

  • I love this song. I went to sleep as Chet Atkins played on the record player when I was a little girl.

  • that's a nice thought! thanks for sharing!!!

  • like my grandpap says - "The stringwork is great but that drum machine needs to be smashed with a god damned hammer"

  • @TheDuster88 between Chet and Vince is Willie Nelson

  • The order of pickers on this song are, Eldon Shamblin and Johnny Gimble.on twin fiddles. That was a staple of Bob Wills, on lots of his tunes.

Then Marty Stuart on his electrified mandolin, Lucky Oceans on steel guitar(long time in/out player with The 'Wheel) Mr, Chet Atkins, CGP and that unmistakable style of Willie Nelson (not announced)., then Vince Gill for the last of the guitar leads.

Such a fun tune, and a great Album by Asleep at the Wheel! Ride with Bob: Tribute to Bob Wills Music.
