  • Do you have any UPS system in that system dude? i didnt spot one in ya vid. You panned to the bottom of the rack and something was there. But couldnt quite make out what it was!??

  • @superserverdude You'll prob find it dosnt use all that much id say a good eco friendly server (and lets face it most in the last 5 or so years are) use around 230 240wats for each PSU (and they look like old desktops, so they would use less) and the routers and switches hardly use anything. And although this looks power hungry stuff its compiled of alot of switches and routers. He only has 2 or 3 servers from what i can see in that rack. So i think i would say its running at around 600wats;-)

  • wow look at the old serial connections from the routers to the switches really retro :D

  • @damageinc23 I should add......... thats 257watts on idle. Right after boot. When the drives are working, it does shoot up to about 400w.

  • Ive also moved the rack out of that closet and into an office.

Also added another file-server with 10TB of storage.

  • 257watts, for those wondering how much power it takes.

  • @damage21 and i just use one router for that :) Good video!

  • what are you hosting on it dude or what tasks is it running?

  • thats a nice setup good speeds too :D

  • Blind me there is no way i could sleep with my rack next to my bed like that. And your parents must be happy with thier electric bill lol
