@dimsimlord Please don't insult the intelligence of a video game developer who has met Masuda in person. Try playing that MIDI on another device, such as your phone or an old DOS machine (or VM, such as DOSBOX's Ultrasound), and then tell me it sounds identical.

@AdzDarkstone Funny, of the two of us I don't feel like the pathetic one. The comment I made pertained to a link to this video wherein it was claimed that this was an actual orchestral recording. Also, I think you'll find if you download this, as I have, in MIDI format; it sounds exactly the same for some reason. I wonder if you know that modules are something applied to a basic MIDI.

@dimsimlord No, it's a Module Track. Every song in every Pokémon games uses its own set of instruments, and not one common set defined by the OS (in this case, the DS console). Furthermore, they all (or almost all) contain a Loopback Command, a feature lacking in the MIDI file format, but standard practice in Module Tracks since way back in the 80s. Please verify your facts before humiliating yourself. Thanks.

I was wondering why that part sounded so familiar! They really did sneak in a lot of RBY into BW. It's especially apparent in the Reshiram/Zekrom battle theme.
