Gentle Rain Final Original

This song was written by my sister Kim. In honor of Robin Jenkins who passed away June 30th, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. A Mother, Daughter, Sister, Wife, Grandmother, and Friend. She was 39 years old. Kim ask that I post it. Hopefully at some point, I will get her to re-do this with me.
To Robin's Family and Friends, I hope this touches that special place in your heart where Robin is. As it did mine. Thank you Kim for sharing this with me.

Im standing here, its the last place I want to be.
Youre lying there, you just fell fast asleep.
I pull up a chair, Ill sit and wait til you wake again.
Its so quiet now, all I hear is a Robins song, and the gentle rain.

You suddenly wake, and flash that beautiful smile.
My heart skips a beat, and we sit and talk a long while.
You make me laugh, it usually ends up just that way.
How blessed I am to have this moment with you. today.

In this world of dreams, its easy to forget whats real.
When were dealt a fold, its hard to know how to feel.

Im leaving now, its the last thing I want to do.
Im heading to work, but all of my thoughts are of you.
Im so amazed, that such a strong person could exist.
What you must feel, wheres the fairness in all of this?

You told me the hard days can be long, but good days do return.
And though our questions may go unanswered, our prayers always are heard

This is so very pretty,Robin sure was a wonderful person and brave to the very end. I just don't understand cancer, why it happens to the best of people.
