Olara Otunnu returns to Uganda

Renowned Ugandan diplomat Olara Otunnu is set to return to his home country for the first time since he fled Uganda in January 1986. Otunnu was the Foreign Affairs Minister of the General Tito Kello regime that was overthrown at the time by the rebel National Resistance Movement led by incumbent president Yoweri Museveni. The fugitive diplomat has operated without a Ugandan passport throughout the 23 years and many wait to see just how his return to Uganda on Saturday plays out. Olara Otunnu spoke to NTVs Linus kaikai and repeatedly denied reports that he intends to challenge Yoweri Museveni for the Ugandan Presidency.

I dont care if Otunnu isnt that known. One thing is for sure: Otunnu is more sincere than all those people who go to the north to sell more albums and pose for cameras. If u asked me, I would say Uganda's biggest tragedy isnt even Amin. It's the suffering that has lasted decades to innocent civilians of northern Uganda. And the fact that Ug is "far more stable" doesnt hold. M7 made the war so it was his duty to stop it. Afterall he got what he wanted- power! We're yearning 4 change of power.

I'm so glad God heard the dead people's prayer's that this man was not voted to become a president of Uganda. I will fight until death apart. God forbids that I live longer than this man. They will never see any one become a politician in Uganda again. Uganda needs all new people in her politics. We will never return back unless there is a devil who has worked his miracles to return these idiots.

Do not be fooled. Olara Otunu served as the Minister of Internal affairs during Idi Amini. We have not brought him to justice to answer the questions of millions of people who died under his regime. No Ugandan in his senses should follow in the trap of people who drove Uganda to the edge of destruction. All young people who don't know what happened you need to go and read your history. We should vote for M7. When the right leader comes, God will show him/her to us. Be very carefull.
