On April 12, over 70 people braved thunder and lightning for an electrifying County Supervisor Candidates Forum on environmental issues held in San Ramon.

Rossmoor resident Paul de Benedictis gave the event a glowing endorsement. "It was very informative and the issues were well-covered, with some refreshing elements. We're glad that we braved the lousy weather for it."

Greenbelt Alliance co-hosted the event with Save Mount Diablo, Sierra Club, League of Conservation Voters of the East Bay, and the California Native Plant Society.

In attendance were Contra Costa County District II candidates Candace Andersen, Tomi Van de Brooke, and Dr. Sean White. Lisa Vorderbrueggen, political reporter for the Contra Costa Times, moderated the forum.
